O estudo PICU-ScREEN (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Score of Risk for Early prEdiction of Nutritional deterioration) tem por objetivo identificar as variáveis nutricionais e clínicas preditoras da deterioração do estado nutricional para o desenvolvimento de uma ferramenta de triagem nutricional para pacientes pediátricos graves.

É um estudo multicêntrico nacional realizado em UTI Pediátricas de médio a grande porte, sendo incluídas crianças e adolescentes com idade entre 1 mês e 17 anos e 11 meses, de ambos os sexos.

O período de coleta de dados foi encerrado – a análise dos dados está sendo realizada.

The PICU-ScREEN Study (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Score of Risk for Early prEdiction of Nutritional deterioration) aims to identify nutritional and clinical variables that predict nutritional status deterioration for the development of a nutritional screening tool for critically ill children.

It is a Brazilian multicenter study performed in PICUs with at least 8 beds, including critically ill children aged between 1 month to 17 years and 11 months, of both sexes.

The data collection period has ended – analyses and production of site reports are underway.
